We understand that buying a mattress is an investment. That’s why we stock the best mattresses to match your needs! Recently we settled on a lineup of Corsicana mattresses that provide you with the best comfort, quality, and value. When we announced our lineup, our employees fell in love and many purchased new mattresses themselves!

But purchasing a mattress isn’t the only step in sweet mattress bliss. The next step is where you take the lead and we walk beside you. Mattress protection! While mattress care known to some, it isn’t always common knowledge to everyone. We’ve decided to provide you with an insider’s guide to maintaining the “newness” of your mattress. Let’s discuss some basic steps that you can take to ensure that your mattress lasts as long as possible.

1.    Utilize a mattress protector. This is one of your greatest defenses! A mattress protector is a barrier from allergens, dust mites, and spills. If you have children or pets who enjoy your mattress make sure that it is safely encased in a mattress protector. Mattress protectors also prevent your mattress from possible rubbing and wear that occurs from your body’s movement against your mattress. Every mattress rental that goes out our door is complete with a top of the line mattress protector! You can easily extend the life of your mattress with a mattress protector.

2.    Wash your sheets often and regularly! Even if you don’t often sweat during the night, your body produces oils that get absorbed by your sheets. Toss your sheets in the washer each week to prevent those oils from seeping into your mattress.

3.    Rotate your mattress every 3 months! The quality mattresses we rent are made to withstand the weight of your body without breaking down the fibers and coils. But despite that, you are able to extend the life of your mattress by rotating it every 3 months. This helps distribute your weight around the mattress so that you don’t end up with an indent the shape of your body after years of use. This allows the internal structure of your mattress a chance to revive without constant weight.

4.    Clean your mattress. Dust particles accumulate on your over time. Easily vacuum your mattress from protection against allergens caused by dust. It is recommended to vacuum once a month to remove accumulated dust. Also if you eat in bed (You know who you are!) you should quickly clean up the crumbs to prevent insects from being attracted to your mattress. Or better yet, eat your midnight snack in the kitchen before crawling back into bed!

5.    Check for bedbugs. While these aren’t extremely common, they are important to address. Bed bugs can be brought into your home from used furniture, traveling or migration in multi-unit buildings. Check by shining a flashlight on the seams of your mattress and pillows. If you find bedbugs, it is vital that you seek assistance in their removal immediately.

Hopefully these 5 easy steps to extending the life of your mattress are informative and helpful! Remember that while you’re renting with us we are here to help with any of your needs. We’re just a call away! We strive to provide you with the best experience not only while you’re shopping, but also while you’re renting.
